Removing preload do not solve the problem with halt. It's pretty curious. What I did just now: * removed preload (zypper rm preload) (I wont count the reboots) * reboot work as expected, stop the computer stope at the console boot login, stalled * I notice that the network is controlled by the network manager, but I can't have the applet on the taskbar. This is pretty annoying.
