http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=922092 Bug ID: 922092 Summary: Difficult to write to start programms with Alt + F2. After first letter the field get too small to write in. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace Assignee: kde-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: kiv@mail.orbitel.bg QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 626644 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=626644&action=edit Zip file wht tree screenshots representing above steps with numbers (1 - 3) Trying to start some KDE program (for example - kwrite) using Alt + F2. 1. After Alt + F2 the form is open as expected. 2. Then I try to write in the apporpriate field the name of the program (with latin letters). Just after the first letter the field get so small that writting in becomes almost impossible. Because of this small field for writting the name of the program it is very difficult to write it correctly. 3. If I succeed to write the name correctly and press Enter, the porgram (for example - kwrite) starts as expected. If I made mistake, then this fields opens again an I can see the wrong program name I have entered wrong. http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=922092 Wolfgang Bauer <wbauer@tmo.at> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED CC| |wbauer@tmo.at Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #1 from Wolfgang Bauer <wbauer@tmo.at> --- Sorry, 12.3 is out of support since January already, see https://en.opensuse.org/Lifetime. And personally I haven't ever experienced anything like that. But two suggestions: - you should be able to resize KRunner's "window", by moving the mouse to a corner and click-drag it to a bigger size (similar to resizing a normal window) - try to create a new user account Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce it with a supported openSUSE version (13.1 and 13.2 at the moment), and the workarounds don't help. But it probably would be better to report it upstream at http://bugs.kde.org/ in that case anyway. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
