Different computers would hang at different points is the boot process. Removed splash=silent quiet, systems do not hang any more at boot. The 12.2 system that was having a problem was hanging here: Starting udev Kernel Device Manager Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. If system is hanging at boot, edit boot option and remove splash=silent quiet. 2. Boot system 3. Actual Results: System still in boot splash after 30 minuets. Hit esc, Starting udev Kernel Device Manager is last line displayed. I would hope to have bugs fixed with in the life of the OS. I do expect that the bug at least get a response saying that it has been received and assigned shortly after being submitted. This bug was submitted with in the first two months of the OS Life Cycle, and it has taken longer the the life span of the OS get a first response. This bug is over a year old and still has not had a response.
