[Bug 747936] New: openSUSE:Tools/obs-server: "-C copy" is ignored for "osc linkpac"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747936 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747936#c0 Summary: openSUSE:Tools/obs-server: "-C copy" is ignored for "osc linkpac" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: adrian@suse.com ReportedBy: jslaby@suse.com QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com CC: gregkh@linux.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- when I upload a kernel to OBS, the kernel packages are linked to kernel-source with -C copy. But OBS removes that option and put there spaces instead. It looks like: <link package="kernel-source" > instead of <link package="kernel-source" cicount="copy"> IOW linkpac -C copy does not work. See it for example here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?expand=0&file=_link&package=kernel-debug&project=home%3Ajirislaby%3Astable -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

eosc linkpac -C copy home:adrianSuSE ming home:adrianSuSE WW
worked for me with current osc.
That's nice, not for me though. Neither for Greg KH. What version of osc do you have? I did this right now: $ osc rdelete home:jirislaby:stable kernel-debug $ osc linkpac -C copy home:jirislaby:stable kernel-source home:jirislaby:stable kernel-debug $ osc cat -u home:jirislaby:stable kernel-debug _link <link package="kernel-source" > .. $ rpm -q osc osc-0.133.1-2.1.noarch
Btw, when you branch a kernel-source package, the target get also the local links automatically. eg:
That doesn't help me. I upload packages from sources, I do not branch anything... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If you do not branch, you will not have correct release numbering if kernel-source has no relationship ...
Correct in what way? These are Kernel:stable and openSUSE:Tumbleweed projects. We don't care about incremental numbers with respect to other repositories. Ok, fixed with osc-0.133.90.git.1329733290-308.1.noarch from openSUSE:Tools:Unstable. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
