[Bug 370073] New: installer not IPv6 ready
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=370073 Summary: installer not IPv6 ready Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hwit@a-domani.nl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer The initrd-image on the iso lacks the ipv6 module. This means that if any additional repositories that are hosted on IPv6-only hosts, can not be included during installation. After the initial reboot, the ipv6 module is present (shown by lsmod) and repo's on IPv6-only hosts work like a charm. During the first fase, if one switches to another console, lsmod indicates its absence, and a modprobe ipv6 is not possible. Adding this module to the initrd on the original installation media should not have any negative side effect, hence my request for this product enhancement.
