But if I'm reading this right it sounds like that is not the right thing to do and we should just make our changes directly into the patches.tar and configs? and patches.addon and config.addon are for something else?
Yes, patches.addon is solely the method to apply additional changes on top of the existing kernel-source package. Say, if you have a patch to apply on top of the latest release kernel, you can do osc copypac or branch, and add your patch to patches.addon, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
