This user is in the group video, but not in the group audio, so, it cannot play sounds by default. First thing is that I get an error message that I cannot access /dev/dsp. I can reproduce this problem on all 4 of my computers, have you seen any computer where it works ? I'm a bit lost at this point so I can only guess. Are there any resmgr related error messages in /var/log/messages?
