[Bug 735162] New: osc build uses "sudo" even if sudo is not installed
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735162 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735162#c0 Summary: osc build uses "sudo" even if sudo is not installed Classification: Internal Novell Products Product: openSUSE Build Service Version: master Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: osc AssignedTo: adrian@suse.com ReportedBy: dmueller@suse.com QAContact: adrian@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- osc does not require or recommend sudo, and yet when running "osc build" it uses sudo unconditionally, even if not installed. The error message is quite confusing: Writing build configuration Running build [Errno 2] No such file or directory only via strace(1) you're able to figure out what the issue is. It should either fallback to su(1) or print a useful error message, or require sudo to be installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
