[Bug 272566] New: Updated (SUSE-SA:2007:027) libX11.so.6 causes a segmentation fault when running rdesktop on SuSe Linux 10.0 system with ATI RV280 display adapter
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=272566 Summary: Updated (SUSE-SA:2007:027) libX11.so.6 causes a segmentation fault when running rdesktop on SuSe Linux 10.0 system with ATI RV280 display adapter Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.0 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Action Items AssignedTo: adrian@novell.com ReportedBy: anton.vaaranmaa@noortrade.fi QAContact: adrian@novell.com Rdesktop crashes with a Segmentation fault after the update xorg-x11-libs-6.8.2-100.12 was installed on a SuSe Linux 10.0 system. The behaviour was found only to occur with said version of libX11 when running remote X-sessions on thin client systems with "ATI RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] (rev 01)" display adapters. Local X11-sessions were not tested. Here is the output from running rdesktop through gdb in said system: (gdb) exec-file /usr/X11R6/bin/rdesktop (gdb) run -g 1024x700 -k fi 192.168.180.6 Starting program: /usr/X11R6/bin/rdesktop -g 1024x700 -k fi 192.168.180.6 (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". Crashes did not occur on any systems with other type of display adpter. Crash occured with multiple versions (1.4 and 1.5) of rdesktop. In many cases the crash occured right after logging in on the remote Microsoft Windows system. In some cases the crash occured while running applications in the rdesktop session. If session could be run until this point, then the crash would occur when logging off the Windows system. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=272566 ------- Comment #1 from meissner@novell.com 2007-05-09 03:12 MST ------- please note that we have fixed rdesktop versions in the QA queue already. so this is likely a duplicate of bug 267016. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
