https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=698501 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=698501#c0 Summary: WLAN doesn´t come up again after rfkill(key) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mathemat@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.6; Linux) KHTML/4.6.0 (like Gecko) SUSE Situation: WLAN working, W/L LED is on. After pressing Fn+WLAN, the LED goes off, network stops working... well. But when pressing Fn+Wlan again, the network doesn´t come up again... not the LED, nor the actual functionality. /v/l/messages shows "kernel... b43-phy0: Radio hardware status changed to ENABLED", but it´s not working indeed (LED stays off). (WLAN can be re-enabled by starting YAST/Network Devices/Network Settings, after executing "Detect network devices" the LED goes on, and WLAN is reestablished. Not the funny way.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Press Fn+WLAN for switching off WLAN 2. Press Fn+WLAN again for switching it on again 3. Wait for a miracle (nothing happens) Hardware: Dell Vostro 1000 Radio: Broadcom BCM 4312 (rev 01), Kernel module: b43 System: openSusi 11.4 (x86_64) Celadon -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
