I use an external USB DVD writer for installation on /dev/sr1, which works at 5x the speed. There are many packages afterwards, which are installed, and their postinstall script fails (xorg-fonts, libreadline, etc.). There 'retry' does not help, just 'ignore', and then 'OK'. I attach some new logs, now saved with save_y2logs. My guess is that the image unpacking failed for some reason. Looking at the code in ImageInstallation.ycp I don't see any exit status check (i.e. a SCR::Read (.process.status, pid) call). The log file contains a "Deploying image: Total bytes read: 163102720 (156MiB, 19MiB/s)" line for some images, but not for common-base-i386.tar.lzma and kde-meta-i386.tar.lzma. Suspicious.
