have a look at your `/etc/sysconfig/keyboard`. It seems that this line

...

KEYTABLE="no.map.gz is missing a quotation mark at the end. Have you edited sysconfig/keyboard manually?

Facepalm Indeed adding the missing " fixed it. Thank you very much! I might very well have done the faulty edit at some point, and since noone else have reported this issue, and it does not show on my other boxes, lets put this one om me.
