[Bug 239599] New: Software Updater offers false updates
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239599 Summary: Software Updater offers false updates Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Zenworks AssignedTo: zlm-code10-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@yahoo.com QAContact: sarifulla@novell.com On openSuSE 10.2 the zen-updater (7.1.100-39) is offering a package not contained in the registered sources. After downloading and installing kernel-default.i586.rpm from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/10.2-i386/SL102_BRANCH and installing it, I decided to uninstall it again and go back to the original version. Now zen-updater keeps offering the removed kernel as update, although ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects is not defined as installation source -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239599 ------- Comment #2 from casualprogrammer@yahoo.com 2007-01-29 02:55 MST ------- This behaviour ceases when /tmp is cleaned out manually. This should be done automatically on uninstalling the rpm. At least this should be an option in zen-updater. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
