How to reproduce: 1. I provided backtraces to the upstream. It seems, that bugs are on both places: pidgin maybe issue two addressbook queries at once, evolution does not proper locking and second query hangs. I can provide helgrind (improper locking detection) debug log, but it has >1MB. Here is a very simple way to reproduce similar (or maybe the same) problem (even with gevolution turned off): Right click on any GW contact -> Info. Two windows are opened at once. I don't have a evolution plugin installed though (openSUSE 11.1 Factory). I see THIS report is opened against openSUSE 10.3; worthy to create another report? Seems to happen when I get a notification from GW 8 - if it happens at the same time I'm sending a message in Pidgin, the Pidgin client hangs.
