--- Comment #13 from Stefan Hundhammer
From some log lines I was able to identify that the user clicked on the "Edit" button several times to edit partitions or LVs:

Maybe the user tried to prevent it being formatted, too. /dev/external/backup is the LV the user wrote he could edit (see initial comment#0). What about the other LVs? I don't see any hint about this here. There is also no code in the expert partitioner to disable that "Edit" button; it's either there and enabled, or it is not there at all. It is there in those views: - "Volume Management" selected in the tree, table on the right showing all VGs and LVs - Any of the VGs selected in the tree, tab "Logical Volumes" selected above the table on the right - Any of the VGs selected in the tree In addition to that, the context menu for any LV in the table on the right also contains an "Edit" entry that does the same. This button opens the "Edit Logical Volume" mini workflow where the use can select "Formatting Options" and "Mounting Options", each of which has two readio buttons; when "Mount partition" (a bit of a misnomer in the context of editing a logical volume here) is selected, the "Mount Point" combo box becomes enabled, and the user can either select one of the predefined mount points there or simply type in another one. While wildly clicking around in those dialogs on a Leap 42.1 installation, I did not find any combination where any of that did not work: The "Edit" button was always there, and I could always change the mount point in that combo box when "Mount partition" was selected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
