[Bug 237251] New: Windows domain users aren't integrated as internal users, at least DBUS doesn't work
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=237251 Summary: Windows domain users aren't integrated as internal users, at least DBUS doesn't work Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Security AssignedTo: security-team@suse.de ReportedBy: toni.heinonen@iki.fi QAContact: qa@suse.de I'm not entirely sure where the problem comes from, but when upon installation I joined my company's Windows domain and have used my domain account to log on ever since (through winbind), OpenSUSE 10.2 doesn'ẗ seem to integrate my account to the system. I'm not sure where all and all this manifests itself or what should be done, but for instance any DBUS policies that use the at_console="yes" limitation don't work. So, for instance, I can't mount USB memory sticks, and network manager doesn't work. Trying nm-applet from the command line gives me: ** (nm-applet:12091): WARNING **: <WARN> nma_dbus_init(): could not acquire its service. dbus_bus_acquire_service() says: 'Connection ":1.203" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerInfo" due to security policies in the configuration file' I don't know if the domain account should be added to some local group or something, I tried adding it to users but that didn't work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
