Booting 15.1 SSD & Kaby Lake host ab250 (bug 11293280) to multiuser last dmesg
is 6.586401 e1000e: etch0 NIC Link is up. It takes it longer to reach the Grub
menu than to boot 15.1.
15.1 rust/Bearlake/HD8570 host big31, which is historically one of my problem
PCs, isn't currently showing any appreciable delay getting kernel and initrd
loaded, seemed around 40 seconds to get from Grub to multi-user login prompt,
but last dmesg (NET: Registered proto...) is less than 31 seconds. Same PC, TW
20190125/kernel 4.19.2 last dmesg was r8169 eth0 link up @46.33 seconds, with
nominal delay (5 sec?) loading kernel/initrd. 15.0 dmesg ended @26.34, atkbd
serio0: Spurious ACK on isa0060/serio0. Some program might be trying to access
hardware directly. I repeated after power down, got @27.28 and r8169 eth0 link
up after two link down 25.15s after spurious ACKs at 22.9, 23.941, 23.944.
24.94.
Another historically slow loader, rust/Eagle Lake/GMA X4500 host big41 with
15.1 took 10 seconds to clear the initrd loading message, @33.7 seconds to last
dmesg, NET: Registered protocol.... 15.0 also took 10 seconds to clear initrd
loading, @29.0 to last dmesg, NET: Registered protocol.... TW 4.20.13 took 18
seconds to clear initrd loading, @35.9 to last dmesg, r8169 eth0 link is up.
