https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=409217 User bsltang@gmail.com added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=409217#c2 Summary: Lockup with NetworkManager left-click menu and keyrings dialog box (wireless) Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bsltang@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer Steps to reproduce: 1.Left-click on the NetworkManager applet (bottom right) and leave that menu open (with the list of available wireless networks). 2.With a known network and its passkey already saved in the keyring; turn on your wireless switch, when the laptop tries to connect to the known wireless network it will prompt for a password for the keyring. When #2 happens with #1, the computer locks up. Mouse is still moveable but nothing is clickable. A safe restart is possible though, the power button shuts down the computer safely. Otherwise it works fine. Not tested on other platforms/hardware. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Only way out: switch to VT1, kill nm-applet, switching back to VT7. This makes X getting the focus again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
