[Bug 860778] audit messages in kernel spamming system logs and vttys

Hmm ... maybe it would be an idea that package audit does Require syslog-service and the audit.service has a Wants klog.service
Werner. The audit service isn't (currently) mandatory. Without audit service running, the kernel will send any audit messages it receives (login notifications from pam for example) to the kernel log. We can certainly discuss whether services should be mandatory and what dependencies they have but to me, the question is why - post install - the default loglevel is set to 7. This doesn't seem a sensible default. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
