Upstream has no interest in keeping the i8xx series of graphics cards support and we are fighting an uphill battle to try to get them to still do so. Vesa and vesafb are the only reliable default choice atm for this hardware. But feel free to alter your xorg.conf to still try the intel driver, you might just get lucky. We all are really unhappy with this situation, but there is only so much we at suse can do :( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So I have no chance at the moment!? Any chance with the vesafb dirver to get/set a non 4:3 resolution!? With 1280x1024 it really looks bad on a 22" widescreen monitor which has 1680x1050 natively!? Thanks P.S.: With openSUSE 11.0 my i845 should work without any problem? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
