[Bug 216549] New: Some ANSI colors are invisible with the default (black-on-white) Konsole scheme
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216549 Summary: Some ANSI colors are invisible with the default (black- on-white) Konsole scheme Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jdluhos@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de The default Konsole scheme, which is black-on-white, has some ANSI colors so bright that they are almost invisible on the white background. It would be useful to modify the color scheme to map these ANSI colors to darker colors. Example: try running Joe with syntax highlighting on a C source code; characters within string constants are printed by bright cyan color which is almost indistiguishable from the white background. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216549 ------- Comment #2 from jdluhos@novell.com 2006-11-09 02:50 MST ------- No worries, it is not so difficult :-) In fact, Konsole has support for exactly these cases. You can choose various background/foreground color schemes, and each scheme has also its own color palette for ANSI colors. Therefore we can (and should) modify just the ANSI color mapping of the black-on-white scheme, and keep the other schemes intact. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
