Last messages on logger(vt3) screen: Loading image "/var/adm/mount/boot/x86_64/root"... /download/image0: unknown fs type mount: /download/image0: No such file or directory
From shell screen, vt9, directory /download does exist and so does image0 file. image0 has size 38940672
If the image disk already had a file system on it then I was able to mount it insmod /modules/reiserfs.ko mount /dev/xvda2 /mnt ls /mnt shows contents OK I tied to load the ext3.ko module insmod /modules/ext3.ko insmod: error inserting '/modules/ext3.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module On console I see: ext3: Unknown symbol journal_force_commit ext3: Unknown symbol journal_dirty_data ext3: Unknown symbol journal_force_commit_nested ... (Not sure this is related) image0 appears to be file /boot/x86_64/root, which is of type squashfs. I deleted initrd-xen and vmlinuz-xen from the install media. This forced vm-install to get vmlinuz-xen from the updated kernel-xen rpm file and to build it's own initrd-xen file. The built initrd-xen does have squashfs.ko. With new initrd-xen I got farther, now hung at the initial GUI install screen. Same applies for SLES-11-DVD-x86_64-Beta1-DVD1.iso, no initrd-xen there either.
