I was instaling openSUSE 3.11 at my computer at University and to my best knowledge: 1. just as normal workstation and 2. I'm not emulating on it any other operating system. Maby some software is using vmware? Maby I don't know something. If this is a physical model, then the installation of the open-vm-tools seems wrong. Can you try to uninstall the package open-vm-tools please?
