With this driver I could not start GTK apps (such as Firefox, Thunderbird, Chromium etc.). Starting them caused X-server to crash (with no useful information in Xorg.0.log, ~/.xsession-errors and application console output). Switching video driver to 'intel' solved this problem. I can use 'intel' driver on Intel 965, but on Intel 855 it works very slow. It's no longer developed since years now. Kirill, what do you mean with intel being "very slow" exactly?
