[Bug 989976] New: [Build 0109] Resizing partitions in installer looses subvolume proposals
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=989976 Bug ID: 989976 Summary: [Build 0109] Resizing partitions in installer looses subvolume proposals Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: okurz@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- ## observation During installation the partition proposal based on btrfs based on LVM with deselected extra home partition suggests /dev/system/root to be not larger than 40G. If I want to extend it to use all available space the current best approach I know is selecting the expert installer, right clicking on /dev/system/root and selecting to use maximum space. Accepting this solution recomputes the proposal and yields no subvolumes. ## steps to reproduce * on a machine with hard disk space more than 40 G * on "Suggested Partitioning" select "Edit proposal settings", select either lvm or cryptlvm proposal, deselect separate home partition * observe partition proposals list /dev/system/root with only 40 G which is less than the size of /dev/sda2 ## expected result either resizing should have no effect on subvolume handling or the installer already proposes to use the maximum available space within an LVM. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
