[Bug 540483] New: Mouse cursor "flickers" while booting
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=540483 Summary: Mouse cursor "flickers" while booting Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: tbullock@comlore.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=318934) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=318934) Xorg.0.log User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-1.1 Firefox/3.5.3 This is a problem which has really bothered me for a long time, even though it appears only superficial and I figure that I should finally get around to reporting it. Around the time that X just gets going and the screen is either entirely grey or entirely black (this has changed over the years) the mouse cursor is sitting squarely in the centre of the screen. Then for a period of about 5 to 10 seconds, the cursor jumps back and forth between the center of the screen and a position about 40 pixels down and 40 pixels to the right, and eventually settles back in the centre. Machine is a Dell Laptop (Inspiron 700m) running the 855gm chipset. I am attaching the current X log Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start X If this would go away, I will send the person responsible for the fix a bottle of wine/case of beer/bottle of soda/cake (depending on preferences) for the effort. And I will double it, if the fix isn't a hack like "hiding the cursor". -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
