The old and working package should still be available in the download repositories. If you like to test the new package, you can download it via OBS-Api directly (note: you need the kohana packages, too). If I find enough time for testing (or enough reports telling me that the package is ok ;-) it should be published again. Closing as "worksforme" as the current status is the expected status.
