[Bug 225181] New: Low Disk Space Warning cannot read space on NFS drive and reports NFS drive as always FULL
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225181 Summary: Low Disk Space Warning cannot read space on NFS drive and reports NFS drive as always FULL Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de The low disk space warning which was an enhancement to check for free disk space before Online Update is executed cannot read the amount of space on a NFS drive. In this case the warning reports a negative value on the NFS drive space and in reality there is 11GB available on this RAID drive. It may be possible that as the NFS server drive is RAID 0 its space cannot be calculated by the warning message...Just a geuss. - See attached screen shot -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225181 ------- Comment #4 from alpha096@tpg.com.au 2006-12-04 15:25 MST ------- Unfortunately I backed up my /home directory 2days ago. Kdar caused the CPU to reach critical temp, and despite powertweak being set to notify it got that hot that the BIOS shutdown the PC. The /home partition was not recoverable. I have tried both backup tools in Distro and they both crash or shutdown PC. I had to reformat partitions and re-load. I did have a manual copy of my /home directory to NFS drive and recovered last weeks info. I am getting very good at installs now. SO...I guess this is going to be a close invalid again as yast2 logs just are not there any more. Just as an aside both /home partitions and NFS RAID0 are encrypted if that helps. I am so sorry and really pissed at KDE for Kdar -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
