After commenting out /etc/rc.status the mounts work correctly.
So it's only when systemd controls the script. Could it be that the password prompts break systemd when they apparently time out?
Actually I've tried and added password="" to all entries in cifstab and it seems to work properly now.
Ok, good to hear.
I'm wondering how to improve that so it's not that easy to run into the issue?
Yeah, I'll try asking folks how to do it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could you give the package from [1] a try? This tries to use systemd's mechanism for accepting password.
It asks for passwords now and when I confirm them it works. But it still has usability issues as it's not clear for what the password should be provided. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
