Pressing "ctrl+alt +Esc" does not change my cursor to a skull with which I can kill any application. Is there a workaround? Start gconf-editor Navigate to apps -> compiz -> general -> all screen -> options -> command1 put there xkill as command to run. further down in the same section is run_command1_key, type in <Ctrl><Alt>Escape or any combination you want to run a command with.
