So I would consider this bug as an intermediate regression, which is solved by 11.2. Or do you wish to dive further into what looks to be a framebuffer issue in the 11.1 kernel series ?

Since the issue is fixed in 11.2 I will close it. If you need a fix for 11.1 then you can reopen the bug. FWIW, I looked through the changelog of drivers/video/nvidia and I couldn't find anything that looked related.
