I cannot choose any type or layout or variant. Also I do have problems with keyboard layout in that the "Alt Gr" key has no effect (on German keyboard), so I cannot type pipe or klammeraffe (email-at) or tilde. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could you provide the output when running setxkbmap "de(nodeadkeys)" -v in a terminal? The xkeyboard-config package had not been installed indeed (yast showed empty checkbox). I have no idea though why it was missing, though. This is a fresh install of 11.1 on a newly formatted root partition. The only unusual thing being that I had installed and subsequently deinstalled the ATI proprietary display driver using its supplied shell scripts (I put in a nvidia card afterwards). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Don't know how you managed it to not have installed it or unselect it without being notified about this dependancy, but since this has been the only report about this issue for 11.1 I close it as WORKSFORME. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
