[Bug 1155824] New: Cursor lags with mouse and touchpad during CPU spikes
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1155824 Bug ID: 1155824 Summary: Cursor lags with mouse and touchpad during CPU spikes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: pointedstick@zoho.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Ever since switching to openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma, I've had an issue whereby my cursor lags during any operation that even briefly spikes the CPU. For example, when launching apps or compiling software from source. This is incredibly annoying. It reproduces when I use my laptop's touchpad or an external USB mouse, and regardless of whether I use the Libinput drivers or evdev/synaptics. I have not had this problem in any other Linux distro running Plasma that I've used on my hardware (Kubuntu, KDE Neon, Manjaro); it only started happening when I switched to openSUSE Tumbleweed. Though I believe Tumbleweed has a much more recent kernel version than any of those other distros. So maybe it's a kernel issue. My hardware is an HP Spectre X360 convertible laptop from late 2016. I have no idea how to debug this but I would be happy to provide any and all information or logging that might be helpful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
