[Bug 463320] New: add support for Samsung SyncMaster 206BW
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=463320 Summary: add support for Samsung SyncMaster 206BW Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: rjwilmsi@gmail.com QAContact: sax2-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- I have a Samsung SyncMaster 206BW LCD monitor (20'' widescreen). In SaX it's not listed (though its sister the 226BW is listed). This meant that opensuse 11.1 installed itself at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) which obviously looked rubbish until I changed it to 1680x1050 (WSXGA+). Please add full detection of this monitor.
From yast hardware detection: 57: None 00.0: 10000 Monitor [Created at fb.71] Unique ID: rdCR.EY_qmtb9YY0 Hardware Class: monitor Model: "Generic Monitor" Vendor: "Generic" Device: "Monitor" Resolution: 1280x1024@77Hz Driver Info #0: Max. Resolution: 1280x1024 Vert. Sync Range: 50-90 Hz Hor. Sync Range: 31-82 kHz Config Status: cfg=no, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown
The above is not correct though as the monitor uses 1680x1050 60Hz natively. If there are some other commands I can run to provide more info let me know. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Before I can add it to the SaX2 database, so you can select it manually, I need more information about it like hsync/vsync ranges. See /usr/share/sax/api/data/cdb/Monitors for examples of monitor entries. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Added monitor entry for openSUSE 11.1 (maybe also SLE11). For now use the one for Samsung Syncmaster 226BW.
