My network is IPv4. And I'm sure that I have proper/working network setup. just for reference (from ssh enabled installation) 192:~ # cat /proc/cmdline initrd=initrd splash=silent textmode=1 install=http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1/repo/oss/ proxy=http://192.168.56.1:8000 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to install opensuse with openSUSE-12.1-NET-x86_64.iso 2. (sorry I'm not a opensuse user) It is definitely a bug in install system. CURL which is used to download packages from the repo is libproxy enabled, but /etc/sysconfig/proxy is not updated with correct proxy settings entered during network setup phase. after I enabled ssh install and entered my proxy settings in /etc/sysconfig/proxy I managed to do install. btw, I tried last published devel netinstall cd and I think the problem exist there too.
