[Bug 447891] New: Partitioner forces password on encrypted /tmp filesystem
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447891 Summary: Partitioner forces password on encrypted /tmp filesystem Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mmccarthy@lojack.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: marc.ruehrschneck@novell.com, srinivas_ramanatha@dell.com, dheidler@novell.com, krzysztof.wojcik@intel.com Depends on: 445368 Found By: Beta-Customer During a network installation of Beta 5.2 from Nov. 20, 2008 factory repo tree I attempted to create an encrypted /tmp filesystem on a logical volume without a password. However, it would not let me finish without entering a password of some kind. /tmp should be allowed to have no password so it's contents are destroyed and a new encryption key created at every boot. If I do not select encryption, select accept and then go back in with "Edit", I can then select the encryption, leave the password blank and it will let me continue. However, it should allow a blank password the first time through for /tmp. This was working on the Beta 5 release ISO. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
