[Bug 251143] New: Something is wrong with the GNOME checkboxes
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251143 Summary: Something is wrong with the GNOME checkboxes Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mboman@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I use Evolution and GAIM and they both have problems when it comes to checkboxes. If I click on a checkbox, nothing visual seems to happen. It's difficult to explain but here's steps to reproduce the strange behavior: * Open up Evolution and create two Accounts * Go Edit/Preferences. Notice how both Accounts are Not Enabled (ie no [X]) * Click on the checkbox to enable the first account (Notice how nothing happens) * Now click on the checkbox for the second account (Either the first account will now be checked or nothing will happen) * Close the dialog box, then go back in again (Notice how the second account is checked) I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I know this is not an evolution issue, because the same happens in GAIM. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251143 ------- Comment #3 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2007-03-05 06:39 MST ------- This started about a week ago with an update to gtk2, gtk2-engines and gtk2-themes and does not affect all themes. For me, everything is fine when using e.g. the SphereCrystal theme, but not when using e.g. the Clearlooks theme. I think that this simply a broken theme setting somewhere. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

It sounds like a mouse issue maybe, or perhaps something weird in GtkTreeView? It seems to work ok for me though. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251143 ------- Comment #5 from casualprogrammer@yahoo.com 2007-03-05 13:10 MST ------- I just have checked this out here on openSUSE 10.3 alpha2, there is a definite Theme relation: OK: Industrial, Glossy, High Contrast (all), Glider, Chlorophyll, Large Print, Low Contrast, Mist, Sphere Crystal. Not OK: Gilouche, Clear Looks, Synchronicity -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251143 ------- Comment #6 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2007-03-05 17:45 MST ------- Alpha 2 does not exist yet (don't trust the contents of /etc/SuSE-release between releases, it is often way ahead reality) and it is already known that this depends on the theme. It might be worth pointing out again that a post-Alpha 1 installation is needed in order to reproduce this. Maybe you can retest this when Alpha 2 is really out, which will be next week or so. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
