[Bug 461873] New: gnome-power-manager does not respond to mouse activity to resume
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461873 Summary: gnome-power-manager does not respond to mouse activity to resume Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bryeny@mi-tech.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User If idle for an extended period of time, machines do not respond to mouse movement to resume full power. 1. On my laptop, I only have it set for screen dim when idle. Moving the mouse (via touchpad) does not undim the screen. It undims only when pressing a key on the keyboard. But only when idle for an undetermined period of extended time. When in very short idle periods, this does not happen and mouse movement responds appropriately. 2. On my desktop, I have a screensaver enabled. If the screensaver is running for an extended period of time, mouse movement will not stop the screensaver. Only keyboard input will stop and fully resume the monitor. Again, when this happens in short periods of time, this problem does not occur. Using a PS/2 mouse. I am unable to determine how long before this happens, but it seems like the mouse gets put to sleep after a certain period of time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
