If I run kcmshell4 kcm_phonon, then I only have two tabs. The first tab is Device Preferences and the second one is Backend. I do not have a middle tab with which I can setup the Audio Hardware. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I don't know what makes the middle tab appear. I thought it was added in a recent KDE release. KDE is 4.9.97, Qt is 4.8.4. Or maybe it appears only when GStreamer/Pulseaudio is installed, I don't know. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Also, have you maybe tried without pulseadio?
