[...] or install subversion and apache from factory [...]
Hmm that might be the problem. Anyway cannot reproduce on a clean 12.3 i586 and subversion-server-1.7.13.2.16.1.i586. Please provide the following information on a system where this problem occurs: * output of the following commands: rpm -q -a --queryformat "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE} %{VENDOR}\n" "subversion*" "apache*" "libserf*" "libneon*" "libapr*" "libsqlite*" rpm -q -a --queryformat "%{VENDOR} %{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}\n" | grep "obs://" rpm -q -a --queryformat "%{DISTRIBUTION} %{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE} \n" | grep -v "openSUSE 12.3" * your vhost configuration for the repository * exact error in /var/log/apache/error_log * output of "svnadmin -q verify /path/to/repository", if any. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The error in /var/log/apache2/error_log reads: [Fri Oct 04 16:40:58 2013] [notice] child pid 17946 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
Besides apparently running packages from/for 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, 11.4, 12.1, 12.2, 12.3, Factory and Tumbleweed... For mod_dav_svn, you may to be running incompatible packages, e.g. a mix between the Apache project and plain 12.3. I am particularly concerned about your libapr* mix. Apache / openSUSE_12.3 libapr-util1-1.5.2-34.1 Apache / openSUSE_12.3 libapr-util1-devel-1.5.2-34.1 Apache / openSUSE_12.3 libapr1-devel-1.4.8-43.1 Apache / openSUSE_12.3 libapr1-1.4.8-43.1 And additional modules form Apache:Modules. Based on that alone I would tend to not accept this bug, certainly not on the basis that simply anything newer than 1.7.8 always fails. Can you switch your apache modules and apr packages back to 12.3 / 12.3 updates, e.g. not use the Apache development project, and try again please? If you have a reliable reproduction recipe that is closer to 12.3 alone, 13.1 alone, openSUSE Factory alone (or with devel:tools:scm:svn each), that would be more helpful. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I do not know vhost configuration for the repository means
Your apache vhost and mod_dav_svn configuration, something along the lines of..
