What about turn on / off "External Amplifier" mixer switch? Also, the machine has no volume control on the laptop keyboard? Some have volume mute/loudness control independent from the sound chip. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If I have the headphones plugged in the headphones volume slider has no effect only the master sliders. Yes, the laptop keyboard has + and - for volume but no effect in Linux. I tried to push them while doing this test: speaker-test -Dplug:front -c2 -l50 -twav but no luck. I tried to change all options for ac97_quirk=-1(01234567) and restart alsa after each of them but again no luck. I tried again a few more times but nothing. Strange. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I put computer to Suspend2disk and when I resume it I forgot to plug in the A/C cable and was running on batteries and I have sound in speakers too. If I restart it, the sound doesn't work anymore through speakers but if I put suspend2disk again and start only to batteries until it enters X speakers are ok. Strange. After that I can plug in the A/C and still have sound. Any idea why it does this? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
