http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=631321 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=631321#c0 Summary: regression: kernel update to 2.6.27.48-0.2-xen boot problem Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: novell-web@zmi.at QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100723 SUSE/3.6.8-1.3 Firefox/3.6.8 ZarafaCheck/1.1.1.20080624.110 I just updated the well-running opensuse11.1, running as a XEN VM within SLES11 SP1, to kernel 2.6.27.48-0.2, and on boot there is a problem. In the very beginning, it counts down 300 seconds: input: Xen Virtual Pointer as /devices/virtual/input/input1 PNP: No PS/2 controller found. I switched that system to use the SLES XEN kernel, and it boots without that delay. I expected an openSUSE kernel to boot within a SLES server without a glitch...
