[Bug 1200538] New: NVDIA 515.48.07 breaks projecting lights and shadows in openGL apps (games)
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1200538 Bug ID: 1200538 Summary: NVDIA 515.48.07 breaks projecting lights and shadows in openGL apps (games) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver Assignee: gfx-bugs@suse.de Reporter: Mathias.Homann@opensuse.org QA Contact: sndirsch@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 859591 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=859591&action=edit screenshot with broken shadows I just got the nvidia G06 driver in version 515.48.07 and it breaks projecting lights and shadows in openGL games (see attached screenshots). Since the previous version is not available as RPM I had to step down to G05 as a workaround. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Take the latest release of the FireStorm viewer either from its homepage, https://www.firestormviewer.org/linux/ or use the rpm from obs, home:lemmy04:snowglobe, login, and come to this location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Deep%20Thought/91/164/27 I've left the white pillar out that's in the screenshots. install the last G06 driver **before** 515.48.07 and set graphics preferences in firestorm to "ultra" with all shaders enabled (see screenshot 3) and see what the shadows are supposed to be like, then upgrade to the latest G06 driver from the nvidia repo and look again. You might have to change your personal time in SL to afternoon or something in case it's night "inworld" when you do this. That being said, the thing on the lower part of the deck that looks like a vintage fuel pump is actually a beer fridge. cheers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
