[Bug 951907] New: YaST2 Expert Partitioner Wants to Write to USB Key Instead of System HDD/SSD
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=951907 Bug ID: 951907 Summary: YaST2 Expert Partitioner Wants to Write to USB Key Instead of System HDD/SSD Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 RC1 1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: dvn805@gmail.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- In the YaST2 installation setup, when in Expert Partitioner, I got the message: "This mount point is already in use. Select a different one". I then found that YaST2 had setup multiple partitions including "/" on SDB, which correlates to the USB key where the Leap 42 ISO image resides. YaST2 should not by default attempt to create partitions on the USB key where the installation image resides. I have not witnessed this behavior in prior openSUSE versions including 13.2 nor current Tumbleweed installs. This can throw novice users off if they aren't very familiar with openSUSE and YaST, as the current default behavior as written above is "quirky". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
