Fonts actually big enough to see can look vastly different from the tiny ones most programmers and web stylists think the whole world should be served.
The font size should be at a level where most people can read the text comfortably. Nevertheless, I invite you to make liberal use of the zoom button of your browser.
How can release notes "look their best"
Well, replace with "look as intended by their creator," I guess.
Requiring certain fonts in order to acquire a certain "look" is an onerous usurpation of usability and choice.
