[Bug 673072] New: Intel Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (intel/i915 driven) displays othervise invisible texture borders
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=673072 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=673072#c0 Summary: Intel Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (intel/i915 driven) displays othervise invisible texture borders Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nice@titanic.nyme.hu QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=414758) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=414758) screenshot of Osmos showing the unnecessary lines. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b10) Gecko/20110121 Firefox/4.0b10 Today I installed the 64bit demo version of Osmos onto openSUSE 11.4. After starting it I had to realize that the openGL rendering is somewhat broken. I see thin hair-like lines bordering textures (see the attached image). This problem didn't appear in openSUSE 11.3. I'm using KDE4 with desktop effects enabled but disabling the effects doesn't make any difference: the unnecessary lines are still visible. I guess so, since the bugs are already closed.
I understand that those patches were put into http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_11.3 and http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.3 . But are they included in the official/plain/vanilla openSUSE 11.4 repositories? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Tamas, could you give it another try with openSUSE 11.4 final? Testing with a LiveCD should be sufficient. Thanks.
Yes, this minor glitch is still present in the final version of 11.4. I tried it on an intel 945gm card too, where this problem is not present. Other openGL applications don't seem to behave this way. However, https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=673074 is more annoying. Are you sure that's tha application's fault? It works perfectly on openSUSE 11.3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

For unknown reasons. I do not understand why you are now discussing that seperated issue in this bugreport. It's completely unrelated AFAICS. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
