The "/" is mounted to ext3 filesystem, "/home" is mounted to XFS filesystem. At shutdown i see "device is busy" message, but system continues shutdown process, and this filesystems still not cleanly unmounted. This happens not each time, but approximately in 2/3 shutdowns. I shutdown my computer via KDE 3.5 shudtown menu. I have /, /home, /tmp, /var and /usr on different partitions. I observed he problem ONLY on the /home, /var and /usr file systems. I got the message "/dev/sdb2 busy .. mounted read-only". /dev/sdb2 is my /usr filesystem. If I attempt to shutdown or restart from runlevel 5, then /home is not unmounted cleanly.
