--- Comment #34 from Christoph Feck 2010-06-23 02:36:46 UTC ---
Partial success. I added the 65-xorg-wacom.rules (from comment #33) to
/etc/udev/rules.d, rebooted the system, and now the tablet is detected by udev.
ttyS4 appears as:
P: /devices/pnp0/00:03
E: UDEV_LOG=3
E: DEVPATH=/devices/pnp0/00:03
E: SUBSYSTEM=pnp
E: NAME=Serial Wacom Tablet
E: ID_INPUT=1
E: ID_INPUT_TABLET=1
E: x11_driver=wacom
P: /devices/pnp0/00:04
E: UDEV_LOG=3
E: DEVPATH=/devices/pnp0/00:04
E: SUBSYSTEM=pnp
E: NAME=Serial Wacom Tablet
E: ID_INPUT=1
E: ID_INPUT_TABLET=1
E: x11_driver=wacom
E: DRIVER=serial
P: /devices/pnp0/00:04/tty/ttyS4
N: ttyS4
S: char/4:68
E: UDEV_LOG=3
E: DEVPATH=/devices/pnp0/00:04/tty/ttyS4
E: SUBSYSTEM=tty
E: DEVNAME=ttyS4
E: ID_INPUT=1
E: ID_INPUT_TABLET=1
E: x11_driver=wacom
E: MAJOR=4
E: MINOR=68
E: DEVLINKS=/dev/char/4:68
Starting xorg, I get this in Xorg.0.log:
[ 407.724] (II) config/udev: Adding input device Serial Wacom Tablet
(/dev/ttyS4)
[ 407.724] (EE) No input driver/identifier specified (ignoring)
(and tablet does not work)
Anything else I can do/test?
