[Bug 782291] New: GNOME Terminal does not honor "Enable menu shortcut key"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=782291 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=782291#c0 Summary: GNOME Terminal does not honor "Enable menu shortcut key" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lmb@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I have "F10" mapped to various functions in my e-mail program. However, with 12.2, I always also get the menu pop-up (as if I had right clicked). The Preference for "Enable menu shortcut key" is unset, so I would not expect this to happen. The menu keys (e.g., Alt-F) are also disabled and do indeed not work as expected. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

F10 was defined as the default key binding to the input widget. I can see it in gedit. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So F10 behaviors like Shift F10 in 12.2. Relevant bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661973 This patch was backported from upstream (gtk3 3.6), works in my test.
