My time log for the two above described actions
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.12)
Gecko/20101026 SUSE/3.6.12-0.7.1 Firefox/3.6.12
The exiv2 library has a mayor problem with exif data from some nikon cameras.
In my case it's a Nikon D90. Adding just a simple comment like "Test" to 56
images exif information field took 18 minutes.
Same with adding and/or changing exif tags.
As long as this problem exists I can not use programs like Gwenview or digicam
to organize my images anymore ( what a pity ).
It is reported that exiv2 library version 0.20 fixes this problem. But exiv2
libraries are used in many places which need to be recompiled too.
